## What the chart shows

Medical AI publications that address both global health and ethics came most often from East Asia in 2025: 25, up from 5 in 2024\. Europe produced 23, up from 10, and North America 17\. South Asia (11) and the Middle East (9) follow.

Over 2021–2025 as a whole, Europe leads with 38, ahead of East Asia (31) and North America (28). Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, South-East Asia, Latin America and Oceania produced three or fewer each in 2025.
