OpenAI released 21 notable AI models in 2025, the most of any organisation. Google (including Google DeepMind) released 15 and Alibaba 11, followed by Anthropic (7) and xAI (5).

Six of the top 15 organisations are based in China, including Alibaba, DeepSeek, Moonshot and ByteDance.
