## What the chart shows

Authors in China had 812 responsible AI papers accepted at AAAI, AIES, FAccT, ICML, ICLR and NeurIPS in 2025, more than twice the 394 from the United States. Singapore (112), the United Kingdom (103) and Hong Kong (98) followed.

Australia (84), Germany (68), South Korea (57), Canada (54) and Italy (29) complete the top 10\. Over 2019–2025 combined, the US still has the most responsible AI papers at these conferences ([related chart](https://aiadoption.org/data/responsible-ai-papers-by-country-2019-2025/)).

## How to read it

- A paper with authors in several countries can count for each, so the top 10 alone add up to 1,811, more than the 1,521 papers in 2025\. Hong Kong is counted separately from China, as in the report.
- The data file labels the counts submissions; the report describes them as accepted papers.
- The report text says the US led in 2024, with 788 papers to China’s 322; the published data has no 2024 breakdown by country.
