## What the chart shows

Every two weeks the Census Bureau asks US businesses whether they used AI. Since the question was reworded in November 2025, the share saying yes has risen from 17.3% to 24.6%.

Health care and social assistance moved from 18.1% to 27.6%. Educational services are a smaller sample, so their fortnightly figures jump around; the latest is 33.4%.

## How to read it

- Question 7 of the Business Trends and Outlook Survey: did the business use AI in producing goods or services in the last two weeks. The question was reworded from 17 November 2025, so earlier answers are a different series and are not shown.
- The form now says “Super Intelligence or SI (formerly referred to as Artificial Intelligence or AI)”; we keep the label AI. Shares are of businesses, not of workers or revenue, and are the Census Bureau’s weighted estimates.
- The survey did not run during the federal shutdown from 1 October to 13 November 2025.
