How to read it

  • Question 7 of the Business Trends and Outlook Survey: did the business use AI in producing goods or services in the last two weeks. The question was reworded from 17 November 2025, so earlier answers are a different series and are not shown.
  • The form now says “Super Intelligence or SI (formerly referred to as Artificial Intelligence or AI)”; we keep the label AI. Shares are of businesses, not of workers or revenue, and are the Census Bureau’s weighted estimates.
  • Each sector’s estimate has a standard error, shown in the CSV; utilities and management of companies have errors above 5 points, so treat them with care.
  • Multi-sector companies count in the national figure but in no single sector.
