AI Layoffs: Job Cuts Companies Link to AI
Which companies have cut jobs and said AI was part of the reason, how many, and when? Only the company's own words count: its announcement, filing, published memo or results call. What others say about a cut is left out, so this count is lower than press tallies.

What counts in this thread
An entry is a round of job cuts that a company announced and, in its own words, linked to AI: in its announcement, a securities filing, a staff memo it published itself, or its earnings call or results. Each entry is labelled by what the company said: AI does the work (the company says AI or automation now does work people did, or that roles are cut because of AI efficiency), or Cut to fund or shift to AI (the company says the cuts free money or focus for AI, without saying AI replaced the people). Cuts where the company says AI was not the reason, or mentions AI only as background, are listed under Related and not counted. Cuts where the company says nothing about AI are left out, whatever others say. The job number is the company's own (a lower bound where it gives a range, 'more than' or 'over'); a US state WARN notice may give the number, never the reason. What news reports, analysts or unnamed sources say about a cut is never used.
