5,235 MW
estimated power demand of AI accelerator modules shipped in 2023–2024; Nvidia 2,665 MW
What the chart shows
The AI accelerator modules shipped in 2023 and 2024, the chips themselves, draw an estimated 5,235 megawatts: 1,433 MW from 2023 shipments and 3,802 MW from 2024’s.
Nvidia’s modules account for 2,665 MW, about half, and AMD’s for 295 MW. Adding the servers, cooling and networking around them roughly doubles the total (related chart).
